The SG-1000
The SG-1000, short for Sega Game 1000, is a video game console created by Sega. It was the company's first console and was released in July 1983, the same month the Famicom debuted in Japan. The console was released alongside the SC-3000, short for Sega Computer 3000, Sega's first home computer. Although they serve different purpose, both products use the same hardware.

The SC-3000
Sega would go on to release improved models for both products. The SC-3000 was followed up by the SC-3000H, which boasted little more than a revised keyboard. A year after the SG-1000's debut, Sega would release the SG-1000 II, which came with two gamepad controllers as opposed to the original's joystick controller.
Only one Namco game was released for the SG-1000 and SC-3000, that game being Sega-Galaga.
