Players whack the incoming crabs with a foam red mallet. The crabs can hide in the aqua-colored caves from the player, preventing them from hitting said crab (unless it comes out). After 40 hits, the crabs will become faster, making it harder to hit the incoming crabs. The game is over when the 30 second timer is up. Tickets are awarded based on how many crabs the player has hit.

Japanese arcade cabinet.

Cracky Crab, known in Japan as Kani Kani Panic (カニカニパニック Kani Kani Panikku?), is an elemecha created by Namco in 1991, and is a spin-off of their earlier title Gator Panic, with the alligators being replaced with crabs. Additionally, the crabs will now sidle across the board, as opposed to emerging from the cabinet. A digital version was included as a bonus game in Point Blank DS, and one of the crabs makes an appearance as part of the Namco Stars team in Famista Dream Match for iOS.
