Instruction card.
F/A (エフ/エイ Efu/Ei?) is a vertical-scrolling shooter arcade game released by Namco in 1992; it runs on Namco NA-1 hardware, and was released in the United States as Fighter & Attacker; it is also the only Namco game to display the FBI "Winners Don't Use Drugs" screen in vertical during the game's attract mode.
Gameplay[]
The player takes control of one of sixteen selectable fighter craft (with their own unique weapon load outs) and must destroy as many enemy craft as he/she can. Unlike many games that have a select number of lives, this game gives the player one life as well as an energy meter (marked "POWER"), and the game will end if this meter is depleted. The player can refill small amounts of their energy by achieving certain high scores, or they can insert a coin when the player dies; but only if the "CONTINUE" DIP switch setting is set to "ON".
