Quox in The Tower of Druaga.

Quox (クオックス Kuokkusu) is a holy dragon that was born from the light of the Blue Crystal Rod and lives in The Tower of Druaga.

Appearances[]

In The Quest of Ki, Quox helps Ki proceed safely in the The Tower of Druaga by letting her use secret passages. When Druaga split the Blue Crystal Rod into three rods, Quox became evil and he also split into three, creating the Silver Dragon and the Black Dragon. Gil faced the three dragons in The Tower of Druaga. After Druaga was killed and the Blue Crystal Rod became one again, Quox returned to his original good nature, and can be seen in one of the rooms in The Return of Ishtar. In The Blue Crystal Rod, Gil and Ki can talk with Quox in the remains of the Tower of Druaga.

In Seme COM Dungeon: Drururuaga, Quox lives in the the remains of the Tower of Druaga and is the boss of stage 3-4. He can be summoned with Spell Card #68.

Quox appears as a boss in The Nightmare of Druaga: Fushigino Dungeon. In the game it's said that the shields from Hyper Knights are made from Quox's scales.

Quox also appears as an enemy in the games Namco × Capcom, Tales of Destiny, and Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon.

Anime[]

Quox appeared in Jil's dream in the first episode of The Tower of Druaga: The Aegis of Uruk. When Jil's party face him, he killed Kally with a fireball and catches Jil with his tail. The Black Knight reappears and stomps Quox's tail, releasing Jil, but Quox kills the Black Knight with a fireball. Angry, Jil kills Quox and takes the key to open the door.


Trivia[]

Quox's name is taken from the name of a dragon appearing in the 1914 novel Tik-Tok of Oz by L. Frank Baum (best known as the author of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz).
