The Investment Banker is a character from the 2000 racing game, Smashing Drive. He is one of the passengers that the taxi cab picks up and takes to their destinations.

The cab picks him up in the middle of the first level, Early Bird, and at the end of the second level, Rush Hour.

Biography[]

The taxi cab first picks up the investment banker in the middle of the first level, Early Bird. When the cab picks him up, it must take him to Wall Street. When giving the banker his wild ride, the cab could jump onto ramps onto the top railings of the Brooklyn Bridge and could also take a shortcut jumping over a passenger ferry at the docks. The cab can as well take a shortcut through a mall, which cause it to get to the banker's destination faster.

The cab picks up the banker again at the end of the second level, Rush Hour. When the cab picks him up again, it must this time take him to West Central Park. When giving the banker his second wild ride, the cab can use its turbo power up to climb up a building, or instead go through it, running over people's desks. It can also go over a ramp, going through the top floor of a church. The cab also takes a shortcut through the American Museum of Natural History, which gets it to the banker's second destination faster.

If the cab makes it to one of the banker's two destinations, the banker then tells the cab driver to keep the change. If the cab runs out of time, or fails to beat the CPU cab it races against to the end of the route, the banker then gets angry and tells the cab driver he'll be hearing from his lawyer. If the cab makes it to one of the banker's two destinations and gets a record lap, the banker looks at his watch seeing he's on time and nicely gives the cab driver money and tells him to buy his wife some flowers.
