Lady and her Dog

The Lady and her Dog are two characters from the 2000 racing game, Smashing Drive. They're two of the passengers the taxi cab picks up and takes to their destinations.

The cab picks the up at the end of the first level, Early Bird, and in the middle of the third level, Night Owl.

Biography

The taxi cab first picks up the lady and her dog at the end of the first level, Early Bird. When the cab picks them up, it must take them to Little Italy. When giving the lady and her dog their wild ride, the cab could take a shortcut between two buildings, using its cutter power up to slice through pipes in it. It also can take another shortcut through a burning building while fire trucks are putting out the fire, and as well use a fire escape as a ramp.

The cab picks up the lady and her dog again in the middle of the third level, Night Owl. When the cab picks them up again, it must this time take them to 5th Avenue and 34th Street. When giving the lady and her dog their second wild ride, the cab could go over the Sea and Air Museum's deck and jump over the edge of the aircraft carrier, going through a helicopter and onto a building's roof. The cab could also take a shortcut through a bus station where it can jump over the edge to collect a line of power ups, and also through a basketball stadium during a basketball game.

If the cab makes it to one of the lady and her dog's two destinations, the lady will happily hold her dog in front of her face. If the cab runs out of time, or fails to beat the CPU cab it races against to the end of the route, when the lady comes out of the cab, and her dog will climb all over her as the dog gets angered. If the cab makes it to one of the lady and her dog's two destinations and gets a record lap, the lady holding her dog comes out of the cab and tells the cab driver to have a nice day.
