Metro Cross is a runner arcade game released in 1985 by Namco
Gameplay
You guide a runner through 32 known obstacle courses dodging tires, cubes, mice, giant coke cans, and chess pieces. Blue cans can give the player extra points and the green can a speed boost. The runner will slow down if touching a green tile, wasting the time limit. If the runner hops on a skateboard, he can go over green tiles faster, but can still get hit by obstacles.
Trivia
A sequel called Aero Cross was planned, but canceled.
