Namco Gallery (ナムコギャラリー?) is a series of compilation games developed and released by Namco for the Game Boy exclusively in Japan. Three compilations were released from 1996 to 1997, and each contained four games, some of which were previously released as standalone titles. All games in the collections feature support for the Super Game Boy peripheral, allowing the games to display full color and have border artwork.

Trivia[]

  • Like Nintendo's Game & Watch Gallery, Namco Gallery lets you play a variety of classic arcade games.
  • The only arcade games included in the trilogy are Galaga, Mappy, Galaxian, Dig Dug, The Tower Of Druaga, and Sky Kid.
  • Pac-Man has a cameo appearance in Vol. 1 & 3. In Vol. 2, he doesn't have one.
  • Namco Gallery Vol. 2 has five games in one because of New Dig Dug.
  • Every time a player enter a password in the ranking menu, they get to see a special picture panel featuring Namco characters. To obtain all four panels, the player must achieve the gold player award in each game.
  • There are no end credits seen or found in any of the compilations other than the games themselves.
  • The Namco Gallery trilogy was never released outside of Japan. It never also received a single re-release on Japanese Nintendo stores like the eShop. Because of this, it's possible that most Namco fans don't know anything about it since they only grew up with the Namco Museum games.
