Rolling Thunder (ローリングサンダー Rōringu Sandā?) is an arcade game released by Namco in 1986. The game was ported for the NES, Commodore 64, Atari Lynx, ZX Spectrum, Nintendo Wii Virtual Console Arcade and the iOS Namco Arcade. Rolling Thunder was also released as part of the game compilations Namco Museum Encore, Namco Museum: 50th Anniversary, Namco Museum Battle Collection and Namco Museum Virtual Arcade.

Story

A mysterious man known as Maboo appeared in New York in the 1960s. He realized several good deeds and is considered a savior. However, Maboo is actually the leader of the secret organization Geldra, which is plotting to conquer the world. The World Criminal Police Organization (WCPO) realized Maboo's intentions and sent the female agent Leila to Geldra's underground headquarters to expose the treacherous conspiracy, but she was captured and is being tortured by Geldra. WCPO than sent their best agent from the Rolling Thunder team, code named "Albatross", to rescue Leila and stop Geldra.
