Sky Kid (スカイキッド Sukai Kiddo?) is a shooter arcade game released by Namco in 1985. The game was later ported for NES, Super Cassette Vision and Wii Virtual Console, and is part of the compilations Namco Gallery Vol. 3, Namco Museum Encore, Namco Museum: 50th Anniversary, Namco Museum Virtual Arcade, Namco Museum Arcade Pac and Hamster Corporation's Arcade Archives series. In 1986 was released VS. Sky Kid (Sky Kid with the Nintendo Vs. System) and the sequel Sky Kid Deluxe.
Story[]
Baron and Max are two impish and naughty pilots that grew in Birdland, a peaceful and free country of birds. Suddenly in one day, the country was attacked by the Mekazukin (メカズキン?), an army that loves fighting. The fate of Birdland is uncertain as the Mekazukin invades with several tanks, aircrafts and other machines. Having confidence, Baron and Max stood up to fight against the Mekazukin army, each piloting a Namco Flyer (Sunsoft Buzzer in the NES manual), a plane designed for maximum maneuverability to scout areas. Baron and Max became known as Sky Kids.

- Red Baron (レッドバロン) - Full name Franz von Dorzemeiner (フランツ・フォン・ドーセマイナー?). The main character controlled by player 1.
- Blue Max (ブルーマックス) - Full name Max Jaruzesky (マックス・ヤルゼスキー?). A good friend and rival of Baron controlled by player 2.
- Black Hawk - Member of the Mekazukin army.
- Green Crows - Members of the Mekazukin army.
- Lady (レディー) and Bell (ベル) - The girlfriends of Baron and Max.
- Thunder Kid - Enemy that appears in Sky Kid Deluxe.

- Red Baron is the nickname of the ace World War I pilot Manfred von Richthofen.
- Blue Max is an informal name of the Pour le Mérite, an award from the Kingdom of Prussia. The Red Baron received the Blue Max.
- Black Hawk's name is a reference to the utility helicopter of the same name.
