Taira no Kagekiyo (平 景清?) is the protagonist from the games Genpei Tōma Den and its sequel Samurai Ghost. Kagekiyo is a samurai from the Heike clan that died in the Battle of Dan-no-ura, the last battle of the Genpei War, which resulted in his clan being destroyed by the Genji clan. To avenge his clan, Kagekiyo revived and must find three sacred treasures to defeat his nemesis, Minamoto no Yoritomo.
Other appearances
Kagekiyo appears as a playable character in the games Namco Super Wars and Namco × Capcom. In the later, he is partnered with Tarosuke.
