The Return of Ishtar (イシターの復活) is a two-player game originally released for arcade in 1986. The game was ported for PC Engine, MSX2, FM-7, X68000, and Wii's Virtual Console, and is part of the compilation Namco Museum Vol. 4 for PlayStation.
Story[]
The game is a sequel to the game The Tower of Druaga, starting with Gilgamesh and Ki with the Blue Crystal Rod in the top of the Tower of Druaga. Now that Druaga was defeated, the tower returned to its crumbled state when it was struck by a lightning by Anu, and Quox returned to normal, but now that the tower changed Gil and Ki must find a new way to get out of the tower, which is filled with fierce monsters that are no longer controlled by Druaga. They must return the Blue Crystal Rod to Ishtar.
